The Port Pass office is located on the west side of the cruise ship level, located at door J and behind bus bay #10.

Where can I park at Canada Place?

Operated by WestPark, our 770-car, two level covered parking facility offers short to long term parking, and is open 24 hours a day. For more information on parking rates, visit the WestPark website.

How do I get to Canada Place?

Driving to the Canada Place

Canada Place: 999 Canada Place, Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada V6C 3T4

Getting to Canada Place from the U.S./Canada border:

  • Cross the Canadian border via I-5 north.
  • I-5 becomes BC-99. Continue north on BC-99 until you cross the Oak Street Bridge.
  • Turn left on 49th Avenue. Turn right on Granville Street.
  • Proceed north across the Granville Street Bridge. Take the Seymour Street exit.
  • Proceed north along Seymour Street to West Cordova Street.
  • Turn left on West Cordova Street. Turn right on Howe Street.
  • You are now facing Canada Place.

Getting to the Canada Place from Vancouver International Airport:

  • Exit the airport via Grant McConachie Way.
  • Cross the Arthur Laing Bridge staying in the right lane.
  • Take the Granville Street exit and proceed north down Granville Street.
  • Proceed north across the Granville Street Bridge. Take the Seymour Street exit.
  • Proceed north along Seymour Street to West Cordova Street.
  • Turn left on West Cordova Street. Turn right on Howe Street.
  • You are now facing Canada Place.

Getting to the Canada Place from Hwy 1

  • Head northwest on HWY-1 W toward Exit 73
  • Take exit 27 for First Ave
  • Turn left at E 1st Ave, and stay on it until you get to Nanaimo St, then turn right
  • Stay on Nanaimo St until you reach E Hastings then turn left
  • Stay on E Hastings until you reach Seymour St then turn right
  • Stay on Seymour St until you reach W Cordova St
  • Turn left on W Cordova St until you reach Howe St then take the 2nd right
  • Howe St turns left and becomes Canada Place
  • Canada Place is straight ahead at 999 Canada Place

Directions when using public transport (SkyTrain)

Getting to Canada Place cruise from Vancouver International Airport (YVR):

  • Take the Canada Line (SkyTrain) from YVR-Airport Station Eastbound
  • Get off at Waterfront Station (terminus station)
  • Exit station and walk westbound on Cordova Street
  • Turn right at Howe Street
  • Follow sidewalk to the Canada Place cruise terminal

Why are the flags on the plaza at half mast?

Canada Place receives direction from the State Ceremonial and Protocol Department of Canadian Heritage, Government of Canada.

What is under the sails and what are they made of?

The Vancouver Convention Centre exhibit floor space is underneath the sails. The 90 foot sails are made of Teflon coated fiberglass.  View a time lapse video of the sail restoration from 2010/2011.
