The events are a celebration of all things Canadian at one of Canada’s most iconic landmarks, Canada Place in Vancouver. Call for performers
Be a part of Canada150 at Canada Place! This year Canada marks the 150th anniversary of Confederation, and Canada Place in Vancouver will be a hub of celebrations and incredible community events. As home to the largest Canada Day event outside our nation’s capital, we are ready to welcome over 1 million guests to our multiple events this year and we need YOU!
We are looking for performers to help us make this a truly memorable year of celebration. All types performers and performances styles will be considered and reviewed by the selection committee.
Performers may be selected to take part in one or more of the following events:
- Canada Day at Canada Place (July 1-2)
- National Aboriginal Celebration (June 17)
- Celebration de la Francophonie (June 24)
- Canadian Multiculturalism Day (June 27)
- Canada 150 Parade (July 2)

Criteria for performers will include: suitability for audience, availability, uniqueness and technical requirements. Performers’ honorariums will be negotiated on a case-by-case basis.
Submissions must include:
- Description of act or group, including performance history
- Preferred length of performance & tech rider
- Links to website, videos, and other relevant online content

Canada Place in 2017
Canada Place will come alive in celebration of this milestone in the development of our country. Join us for free community events where you can experience the music, cuisine, and spirit of our different regions and communities. Celebrate Canada’s birthday at the largest Canada Day event outside of Ottawa, a multi-day event that brings our community together. Canada Place will be the hub of celebrations on the west coast and your home for the sesquicentennial in 2017.
