Canada Place Wins International Award For Festival Of The Year

Vancouver, BC – Canada Place won the International Festivals & Events Association’s (IFEA) Grand Pinnacle Award for Canada Day at Canada Place 2011 presented by Coast Capital Savings. The International Festivals & Events Association hosts the annual Haas & Wilkerson Pinnacle Awards recognizing excellence in producing all components of a festival or event. Individual awards are handed out for excellence in creative, multi-media, advertising campaigns and sponsorship in addition to the overall grand prize,the Grand Pinnacle Award for international event of the year.

Canucks Playoff Viewing at Canada Place

Canada Place is proud to broadcast all Vancouver Canucks playoff games on Canada's Storyboard, the 25ft Outdoor LED Screen on the front of Canada Place. A natural gathering place just steps from public transit, families, visitors and sports enthusiasts are invited to come together at Canada Place to cheer on their Canucks. Game 2 on Saturday was witnessed by thousands in a fun family-friendly environment.

For the first time in nearly two decades, the historic Woodward’s Windows will be viewable back where it all began: in the newly restored Woodward’s building at Hastings and Abbott. Beginning December 1st, the beloved Woodward’s Windows will delight guests with animated scenes and colourful holiday characters. Canada Place begins work to replace iconic sails
