5:15 pm to 6:15 pm

Canada Place is presenting the 4th annual Waterfront Yoga program at Canada Place again this season. Various certified Yoga Instructors will teach classes and provide participants with the opportunity to practice Yoga in one of Vancouver’s most stunning locations. Admission and mat rental are by donation, benefiting Strathcona’s Food Security for Children program.

Waterfront Yoga at Canada Place 

 

Kala Polman-Tuin is an athlete inspired Yoga Teacher, Personal Trainer, Group Fitness Instructor, and Spin Instructor. As a previous NCAA Division One Soccer player, she is rooted from an athletic background and mindset. For the classes at Canada Place Kala will be teaching an invigorating Flow Yoga and Core fusion class with sport, body and mind focus. Each and every class will be different however the core element will always be present.

Yoga is the pause in my day. It takes me onto an island where I can connect to my essence and reconnect with universal vibration of the planet. Since I was a teenager I have had a love affair with the practice of vinyasa yoga and I'm always excited to share my passion. Yoga should be fun, explorative and non judgemental. Troy Turi has taught yoga for the last decade. He works internationally as a Yoga teacher, most recently in Bali. He teaches many forms of flow based yoga trusting in the breath to bring it the awareness in postures. Among them, Vinyasa, Power, Yin, Yang-Yin.

Special Free Yoga Event at Canada Place - Wednesday August 15th!

With the downward dog days of summer upon us you are invited to celebrate with free yoga!

Instructed by Troy Turi, this session is from 4:30 to 6 PM. Please note the special time. Mats are available, head to the North Point. 

This event will be featured in a $15 million film production by FlyOver Canada. A specially outfitted helicopter will take the film team (Sherpas Cinema), soaring overhead to capture Canada Place’s iconic white sails, the humming activity of Canada’s busiest port and cruise ship terminal, as well as the City of Glass’s shimmering skyline.

The arial film team will add to the already unique yoga environment that is Canada Place.
