Canada Day

Canada Day is a celebration that brings communities together to share our special bond of living in one of the greatest country’s in the world and celebrating our freedom, values and diversity.

We all remember the tremendous feeling we felt during the Olympic Games as we cheered on our country and came together in every corner to support our athletes, wave our flags, sing our anthem and high five our neighbours as proud Canadians. We did it again on July 1, 2010 as Canada Place proudly presented the 23rd Canada Day at Canada Place celebration in the heart of Vancouver.

Our 2010 event began at Canada Place under the iconic white sails and stretched west along city streets to the harbour front. The theme, Our Canada, was all about celebrating what makes us proud of our country and proud to be Canadian.

Canada Place is thrilled with the following awards and nominations for Canada Day at Canada Place:

- Awarded the 2010 IABC Gold Quill Communication Management Award of Merit for Special Event
- Winner of the 2010 Canadian Event Industry's Best Public Entertainment Event
- Winner of the 2009 BC Event Award's Best Festival

- Nominated for the Canadian Event Industry’s Best Festival & Outstanding Logistical Achievement
